About this course

Participants will learn to prepare and manipulate paper clay, using it to create ceramic forms, including larger-scale work. The course also introduces smoke firing and explores how different making and finishing methods affect the surface of finished pieces. Teaching combines talks, demonstrations, practical workshops and note taking. Learners can experiment with a range of ingredients and methods while developing their own ideas for expressive forms and surfaces.
