Pattern Cutting for Made to Measure Short Course

About this course

The course introduces pattern cutting for bespoke and couture-style womenswear using each participant’s body measurements. Learners develop a custom-fit bodice block and, time permitting, a one-piece sleeve block. They then produce a toile from the pattern and assess its fit on the body, making adjustments to refine the block. Work is completed at an individual pace, with the emphasis on applying core pattern-cutting methods to create personalised blocks for future pattern drafting.
