About this course
The course introduces unconventional approaches to patternmaking and the creation of three-dimensional shapes. Participants examine snapshots of different patternmaking techniques, then use tutor-led demonstrations as a basis for practical experimentation and skill development. The emphasis is on exploring alternative methods and making independent decisions about form and aesthetics, rather than following a single conventional pattern-cutting process.
What you'll learn
- Explore unconventional approaches to patternmaking
- Create and investigate different shapes through pattern-cutting techniques
- Practise techniques introduced through tutor-led demonstrations
- Develop patternmaking skills and aesthetic judgement through experimentation
