About this course

This course investigates Christianity as a subject for philosophical inquiry rather than presenting Christian philosophy or religious history. Discussion covers questions about Christ’s humanity and divinity, salvation and eternal life, the Trinity, the Virgin Mary, the Transfiguration and the Beatific Vision, alongside prayer, meditation and contemplation. The seminar format combines short slide presentations with questions and answers and group discussion. Philosophical sources include Edith Stein, Tanabe Hajime, and thinkers from Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox traditions.
