About this course
Participants learn to organise photographs in the Lightroom Catalogue, build keyword structures and establish a workable file-management process. The course also covers colour and tonal adjustments, masking, image repair, retouching, export settings, file formats and archiving. Teaching combines step-by-step demonstrations, short lectures, discussions, tutorials and supervised exercises using tutor-supplied and participants’ own images. Individual guidance is provided alongside group and individual activities, with examples focused on preparing photographs for personal, commercial, web and print projects.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for beginners and does not require prior Lightroom knowledge. Participants should be able to use a computer, move files around the system, follow written and spoken instructions, and take part in group discussion. Learning includes both supervised individual activities and group-based teaching.
- Computer and file-management skills are expected
- Learners should be comfortable following demonstrations and written instructions
- The course includes group discussion as well as individual practical work

- Apple Mac computers with a current version of Lightroom are supplied for the course.
