About this course
The course introduces Photoshop’s working environment and develops techniques for editing photographs. Topics include resolution, selections, layers, colour and tonal adjustments, retouching, repairs, file formats and establishing an editing workflow. Teaching combines step-by-step demonstrations, short lectures, workshops, discussions, tutorials and practical activities using tutor-supplied and participant images. Learners receive notes and can work through tasks individually or in groups, with one-to-one guidance available during the course.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for intermediate learners developing their Photoshop skills. Previous Photoshop knowledge is suggested but not essential. Participants should be able to use a computer, manage files and follow written and verbal instructions, demonstrations and handouts. The course includes supervised individual and group activities, discussions and practical exercises.
- Some prior Photoshop knowledge may help, but it is not essential.
- Learners should be comfortable using a computer and moving files around the system.
- Participation includes group discussion as well as individual practical work.
Before you go
- A pen and paper are suggested for taking notes.
- Teaching takes place on supplied Apple Mac computers with a current version of Photoshop.
