About this course
Participants develop a photo essay from an initial story idea, considering how establishing shots, portraits, details and action images work together. The course covers researching subjects, making creative and technical decisions, and editing a coherent sequence of photographs. Sessions also examine photojournalism’s history, analyse work by influential practitioners, and discuss legal, ethical and professional issues, including current opportunities in the field.
