Participants learn foundational piano technique through scales, melodic patterns and simple tunes, while exploring basic harmony and music theory. The course also addresses posture and effective practice methods, with repertoire ranging from straightforward pieces to more challenging examples. Teaching takes place through practical classes, including ensemble pieces and individual feedback. Learners can identify personal goals and reflect on their development, with progress assessed informally during sessions rather than through a formal assessment.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for absolute beginners and for learners returning to piano who want to refresh their skills. It is taught in a group setting, combining individual keyboard work with ensemble pieces. Basic music theory is useful, while Level 1 literacy is an advantage for working with handouts.
