About this course
The course works with repertoire around Grade 2 to early Grade 3 standard, combining performance skills with keyboard harmony, aural awareness and music theory. Participants develop dynamic control, contrasting articulations such as legato and staccato between the hands, and strategies for addressing technical difficulties. Teaching includes tutor explanation and demonstration, group playing and individual demonstration tasks. The programme covers selected major and minor scales, related arpeggios and technical exercises, with practice tasks and course materials shared through Google Classroom.

- Apply gradual dynamics and contrasting articulations between the hands
- Play selected major and minor scales at the course level
- Perform arpeggios in the related keys with hands separately

- Apply practice strategies to support repertoire and technical work
