About this course
This one-off introduction familiarises participants with the keyboard and basic piano technique. The session covers finger placement, simple chords, note recognition and the fundamentals of reading music, with opportunities to play a short piece. Teaching takes place in a relaxed group setting using headphones. The class is intended to give newcomers an indication of the teaching format and the foundations explored in longer beginner piano courses.

Is this course right for you?
The course is designed for complete beginners and is also suitable for people returning to piano after learning a little previously. As a group taster, it involves shared class-based participation rather than a full individual programme.
