About this course

Participants study repertoire selected by the tutor, or bring alternative pieces such as music being prepared for a graded examination. Alongside repertoire work, sessions address sight-reading, scales, aural skills, theory and general piano technique, including pedal use and musical phrasing. Teaching includes discussion of learners’ performances and may use recordings, online video, mobile applications and Microsoft Teams to support music study inside and outside class. Learners also set personal targets and review their progress against the course outcomes.
