An improvers Pilates course for learners with previous experience, combining focused skills work with exercises for strength, mobility, stability, posture and alignment.

About this course

Classes develop Pilates fundamentals through guided exercises and progressions designed to deepen existing practice. Each session begins with focused skills work before moving into exercises for strength, mobility, stability, posture and alignment, with attention to individual goals and comfortable working levels. The tutor provides feedback and corrections, with opportunities for individual questions and group discussion. The course also introduces elements of the classical Pilates repertoire, basic stretching for home practice, and the use of posture and balance in everyday functional movement.

What you'll learn

  • Identify a comfortable level at which to perform Pilates exercises
  • Apply Pilates exercises for strength, mobility and stability
  • Use progressions within elements of the classical Pilates repertoire
  • Perform basic stretching exercises independently at home
  • Apply posture and balance to everyday functional movements

  • Socks or bare feet are required.
  • Comfortable, form-fitting clothing is ideally worn so alignment can be observed.
