About this course
Participants explore alignment, core support, controlled mobility, breath and coordination through guided Pilates-based exercises and short movement sequences. The workshop considers how these principles relate to posture, balance, stability and fluid transitions, with attention to the spine, pelvis, hips, shoulders and lower limbs. The teaching takes place in a reflective, non-competitive setting. Learners are encouraged to notice individual movement patterns, listen to their bodies and adapt exercises to suit their training background and physical needs.
What you'll learn
- Apply at least two Pilates principles during guided movement sequences.
- Identify and describe a change in movement quality during Pilates-based exercises.
- Adapt a Pilates exercise for personal dance or movement practice.
Is this course right for you?
The workshop is aimed particularly at dancers, movers and people interested in movement awareness, while the catalogue level is Beginner. This suggests an introductory starting point, but the source does not state whether previous experience is required. Exercises can be adapted to individual training backgrounds and physical needs.
