About this course
Learners develop plate-making techniques on the potter’s wheel, beginning with a side plate before working towards larger plates and pasta bowls. The course then moves to trimming the thrown forms and refining their individual appearance.

Is this course right for you?
This adult course is intended for intermediate pottery learners developing beyond fundamental wheel-throwing techniques. Teaching takes place in a small group of up to eight participants.

- Limited to eight participants
Before you go
- Materials and tools are included.
- Learners can select six pots for firing; additional pieces can be fired for an extra charge.
- Finished work can be glazed in the studio’s speckled white glaze, or learners can attend a separate glazing class.
- At least 10 days should be allowed after the course before the first firing.
