About this course

Participants develop a podcast concept, shape its structure and consider how to reach a defined audience. Coached sessions combine group and individual activities with technology-based work, including recording and editing a sample podcast in Audacity. The course also examines the process of uploading and distributing episodes through different platforms and apps, as well as ways to keep podcast content current. Learners assess which content, tools and settings are appropriate for their intended audience and plan possible next steps towards streaming.

This course is intended for beginners with an interest in podcasting and basic computer literacy. Participation includes coached group and solo activities, along with giving and receiving constructive feedback. Learners are expected to speak English fluently and read and respond to a range of text.
