About this course

The course develops foundational Polish for everyday communication, covering listening, speaking, reading and writing. Learners practise greetings, personal information, routines, basic transactions and simple questions, while building vocabulary and sentence structures. Lessons are primarily conducted in Polish and use interactive formats including group work and role-play. Teaching also addresses pronunciation, intonation and the distinction between formal and informal language in common situations. Progression is based on class participation and self-study rather than formal tests.

What you'll learn

• Use greetings, introductions and polite expressions in basic exchanges.
• Exchange personal information such as names, nationality, occupations and places of residence.
• Construct simple present-tense sentences and ask yes/no and open-ended questions.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for complete beginners who have never studied Polish. Participation involves spoken practice, group activities and role-play, with lessons primarily conducted in Polish. Learners who already have basic Polish knowledge may be better suited to a different level.
