What Pre-intermediate (A2+) Polish means

At A2+ Polish, learners can connect simple sentences, give reasons and manage a wider range of familiar situations.

  • Explain a preference

    Wolę podróżować pociągiem, ponieważ jest wygodniej i mogę czytać.

    I prefer travelling by train because it is more comfortable and I can read.

  • Handle a small problem

    W pokoju jest bardzo zimno. Czy mogą państwo sprawdzić ogrzewanie?

    The room is very cold. Could you check the heating?

  • Describe an experience

    W zeszłym roku odwiedziłam Kraków i bardzo spodobała mi się jego architektura.

    Last year I visited Kraków and really liked its architecture.

About this course

The course uses Polish mainly in class, with group work and role-plays supporting spoken communication. Learners practise using Polish in everyday situations while developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Topics include sports, personal goals, recipes, ingredients and cooking methods. Lessons also cover gerunds, relative pronouns, purpose clauses and collective numerals, alongside pronunciation and intonation practice. Cultural content includes sports and traditional foods in Poland.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for learners at Pre-intermediate (A2+) level who have already been studying Polish for some time. The provider recommends having completed Polish Level 10 or a course of at least 120 class hours. Participation includes group activities, role-plays and self-study between classes.

  • A placement test is available if the level is uncertain
  • Progression is based on class participation and self-study rather than formal tests
