Portrait drawing: develop essential techniques

About this course

Participants study the face through guided drawing exercises, demonstrations and references to artists’ work. The course introduces ways to observe facial features, organise proportion and use line and tone to suggest form, depth and expression. Sessions are practice-led, with tutor guidance, informal feedback, group discussion and peer review integrated into the work.
