About this course
The course develops Portuguese through spoken communication, with learners working in groups and taking part in role-plays. The teacher conducts lessons in Portuguese to provide listening and comprehension practice, alongside systematic work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Topics include household responsibilities, character and personality, television, radio and music, and arranging social activities. Language work covers communication phrases, descriptive adjectives, the future subjunctive, conjunctions such as “por causa de” and “apesar de”, and plural forms. The course also considers Portugal’s artistic scene.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners continuing beyond beginner Portuguese and is labelled Pre-intermediate (A2+), while the description refers to it as Intermediate. Previous study is required: learners should have completed Portuguese Level 12 or a course totalling at least 144 class hours. Participation includes spoken communication, group work and role-plays.
