What Elementary (A2) Portuguese means

At A2 Portuguese, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

  • Describe your routine

Normalmente vou de autocarro para o trabalho e chego a casa às seis.

I normally go to work by bus and return home at six.

  • Make a simple plan

Queres ir ao cinema no sábado à tarde?

Would you like to go to the cinema on Saturday afternoon?

  • Talk about the recent past

Ontem jantei com amigos e depois fomos dar um passeio.

Yesterday I had dinner with friends and then we went for a walk.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
