Pottery for Intermediates

About this course

Participants extend their pottery skills through specialist projects using black and white stoneware clay. The course covers more complex construction methods and surface decoration with oxides, underglazes and slips. Later work introduces a mixed-media element, combining glazed ceramic with another material to enhance the finished piece’s function and appearance. Projects are undertaken with support from the lecturer, giving learners scope to refine existing techniques and explore unfamiliar processes.
