Pottery Wheel Throwing Taster

About this course

This introductory class teaches the core stages of wheel throwing, beginning with centring clay and progressing to shaping a small ceramic form. Participants work at the wheel with tutor guidance and generally make one simple item, such as a bowl, cup or small vessel. The session focuses on trying the main techniques involved in forming pottery rather than producing a range of finished pieces.
