About this course
The course revisits BSL at pre-Level 2 through everyday subjects including routines, hobbies, eating and drinking, shopping, opinions and attitudes. Learners practise productive, receptive and conversational skills, with attention to hand shapes, facial expressions, turn-taking and asking for clarification. Teaching combines interactive activities, questions and answers, pair and group work, online video clips for receptive practice, and individual feedback sessions. Google Classroom is used for course resources, and learners are expected to practise their BSL outside class through homework.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners who have passed BSL Level 1 but are not yet ready to move on to Level 2. The Elementary (A2) label indicates a developing level beyond the fundamentals. Participation includes interactive pair and group work, individual feedback and practice outside class. Basic literacy is needed for reading instructions and writing self-evaluations.
