Printmaking – Intermediate

About this course

Participants extend their printmaking practice across screen printing, intaglio, lino cuts and monotypes, investigating how different processes can generate varied textures, styles and effects. The course also examines ways to develop prints from sources including drawing and photography, alongside safe use of the print studio and its machinery. Teaching combines demonstrations, individual and group tuition, practical work and discussion. Each participant develops a term-long self-designed project, supported by regular tutorials, Personal Learning Plans, written practice notes and tutor feedback.

What you'll learn

• Apply screen printing, intaglio, lino cut and monotype processes to produce prints.
• Generate print designs from sources including drawing and photography.
• Use print studio machinery with appropriate health and safety awareness.
• Develop and complete a self-designed printmaking project.
