About this course
The course covers the stages of digital book publishing, from preparing and formatting ePubs and other formats to sourcing cover images and selecting publishing routes. It also introduces copyright, ISBNs, tax considerations, pricing, royalties and how books are positioned on digital bookstores. Teaching combines step-by-step explanations, demonstrations and exercises. Participants examine how customers find and choose books, explore writing and marketing tools, add a title to Amazon and develop a release strategy. Weekly homework is set to extend work beyond the class.

Is this course right for you?
Although the course is labelled Beginner, it is intended for learners who already use computers confidently. Participants should have internet, Microsoft Word and computer file-management experience, be able to follow spoken and written instructions, discuss their work and carry out simple calculations.

- Participants need a Mac or Windows computer, internet access and experience using Word documents.
