Ready Steady Bake

About this course

The class begins with a demonstration covering the recipes, baking techniques, shortcuts and practical tips. Participants then recreate the bakes in the kitchen with guidance from the chefs, working from menus that may include carrot cake, cupcakes, shortbread, brownies, lemon drizzle cake, scones, madeleines and coconut macaroons. A Christmas edition features seasonal recipes such as mince pies, gingerbread biscuits and spiced loaf. Recipes are provided after the class for future use.

Is this course right for you?

The course is listed as suitable for all levels and uses demonstrations followed by guided individual work in the kitchen. Participants may attend alone and be paired with another learner. Children under 10 must be booked with a paying adult, with a paid place for each person using the kitchen.

• Vegetarian catering is available, with Christmas sessions catering for vegetarians on request

Before you go

• Aprons, equipment and ingredients are included.
• Participants should bring a large container for taking the baked goods home.
• A recipe booklet is emailed after the class.
• BYOB is permitted without a corkage fee.
