About this course

The course focuses on preparing and performing standard jazz tunes and arrangements as an ensemble. Sessions may cover instrumental technique, jazz theory, improvisation, repertoire development, performance skills and approaches to individual practice.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for lower-intermediate jazz musicians developing beyond fundamental ensemble skills. Intermediate-level sight-reading is required, while knowledge of jazz theory at a similar level is useful. Participation centres on practical group playing, with opportunities to perform.
