About this course
The course uses demonstrations, guided practice and work on a range of songs to develop jazz guitar playing. Participants study chords, scales, arpeggios and fingerboard knowledge, then apply these through accompaniment, rhythm guitar, comping and improvisation. Sessions include playing songs with the class, individual practice time, tutor feedback and a short question-and-answer session. Learning and progress are reviewed through practical exercises, with participants identifying personal goals and reflecting on their development.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for improver-level guitarists and is not designed for beginners. The provider specifies at least two years of experience, with Level 1 literacy noted as an advantage. Learners should be prepared to practise and play songs with the class.

- Level 1 literacy is an advantage
