About this course
The course develops jazz performance through a mixture of theory and improvisation workshops, ensemble groups, instrumental classes, big band sessions and vocal or instrumental masterclasses. Participants learn through workshops, seminars and ensemble work, with tutors providing personalised feedback. The programme also includes jam sessions and opportunities to perform live. Tuition is available for singers and players across a wide range of instruments, with ensemble and group activities shaped partly by participants’ experience.

Is this course right for you?
The course is open to instrumentalists and vocalists at all levels beyond complete beginner level on their instrument. The programme involves group playing or singing, workshops, jam sessions and performance activities, so participants are expected to engage with collaborative music-making as well as individual tuition.
