Rock and Pop Guitar – Beginners

About this course

The course introduces the fundamentals of rock and pop guitar through rhythm and lead playing. Participants work on posture, tuning, strumming, picking, chord progressions and reading guitar tablature alongside basic rhythmic notation. The repertoire includes simple pieces based on common progressions and the four-chord songbook. Teaching takes place through practical classes, with tutor feedback and a Personal Learning Plan used to identify individual goals and review development. Learners also explore approaches to practising between sessions.
