Sand Cast Your Own Initial Necklace

An all-levels workshop covering initial pendant design in jeweller’s wax and direct sand casting in sterling silver.
About this course
Participants design an initial pendant in jeweller’s wax, prepare an impression in casting sand and pour molten sterling silver into the mould. The workshop introduces direct sand casting, including how the technique produces a textured, individual surface. Teaching combines demonstrations with opportunities to practise and test the casting process. The small class format allows for individual guidance from the jewellers while participants prepare and cast their own pendant.
