Saturday Etching (Drop-in)

About this course

This untutored session is structured around participants’ own printmaking work rather than taught instruction. It covers etching, collograph and monoprint processes within an intaglio printmaking context. The drop-in format is available to Drawing Year alumni and experienced printmaking students who meet the course’s prior-study requirements or have a tutor’s recommendation.

Is this course right for you?

This session is intended for Drawing Year alumni and experienced printmaking students, rather than learners starting printmaking. Participants must have completed an RDS Etching course, unless attending on a tutor’s recommendation. As the session is untutored, it is suited to learners who can work independently.

Before you go

• A fully equipped intaglio print room is provided for etching, collograph and monoprint work.
• Plates and paper can be purchased in the print room at just over cost price; payment is by card.
