About this course
Participants explore the fundamentals of acting for camera through script interpretation, character development and short-scene rehearsal. The course covers shot types, eyelines, on-set terminology and adapting performance for different camera angles, alongside voice and physicality for screen. Teaching takes place with a full camera setup and playback. Learners perform under direction, review recorded work in class, practise learning lines and respond to performance notes by adjusting their work in real time.

Is this course right for you?
The course is designed for complete beginners and people with little or no acting experience. It offers a relaxed introduction in a small-group setting, with learners working on camera and taking part in practical exercises. Those who have already studied acting but are new to screen acting are directed towards Screen Acting Level 1.
