Screen Acting Intensive - 5 days

About this course

The course explores camera performance through monologues, duologues and commercial casting exercises. Participants work with scripts, break scenes into units and beats, develop character choices, respond to direction and adapt performances for different shot types and filming setups. Technical sessions cover marks, lighting, sound, continuity and scene composition. Filmed work is reviewed in class through playback, with tutor notes and adjustments. Audition preparation includes simulated casting-room exercises, commercial casting practice and a mock audition with a casting director or agent.

The course is open to complete beginners as well as learners with some acting experience who want to focus on screen work. Participation includes individual filmed monologues, paired duologue work, audition simulations and receiving detailed feedback on camera performances.

• Participants should bring comfortable clothing suitable for movement, a notebook and water.
