About this course
The course develops screen acting through monologue and duologue work, with participants selecting, rehearsing and filming scenes in pairs. Exercises address character work, improvisation, continuity and adapting performances for different takes and camera setups. Scenes are reviewed in class through playback and analysis, with individual feedback on performance and audition technique. Alongside practical filming, the course examines casting and audition etiquette, casting type, approaching agents and working with casting directors. It also includes discussion of developing film work and a casting masterclass with feedback and questions.

This course is intended for actors with prior screen experience, including those progressing from Screen Acting Level 2 or equivalent professional or training experience. The expected participation includes paired and small-group scene work, filming, performance review and discussion of more complex screen roles.
