About this course
Participants develop their own drawings, photographs or other visual references into screen prints on paper. The course introduces the screen-printing process through demonstrations, guided practice and individual feedback. Learners create hand-cut stencils for each colour, align and overlay them for accurate registration, and investigate background colours and monoprint techniques. The emphasis is on building a practical grounding in screen printing while producing a range of paper prints.

Is this course right for you?
The course is designed for complete beginners as well as learners with some prior screen-printing experience. No previous experience is required. Participation involves developing work from personal source material and taking part in demonstrations, guided practice and individual feedback.
Before you go
- Bring personal source material, such as drawings, photographs or other visual references.
- Bring an apron and gloves.
- Paper is not included. Required materials can be purchased in the studio or from the college shop.
