About this course

Participants develop moulds and casts using their own small sculpture or studio samples. The course focuses on preparing and sealing objects, selecting release agents, and making cavity or solid moulds with silicone and Gelflex. Teaching combines demonstrations, practical work, group activities and one-to-one instruction. Casting exercises use plaster, wax and cement, with attention to choosing suitable processes for different objects.
