Sculpture for all levels: explore techniques and produce a personal piece

An all-levels sculpture course exploring materials, modelling, carving and casting through demonstrations, individual guidance and independent project work.
About this course
Participants develop a sculpture from initial ideas through sketches, maquettes and experimentation with materials including clay, wood, wire, plaster, cement, wax, paper and mixed media. The course covers modelling, carving, casting and mould-making, with demonstrations and guidance on using studio tools and materials safely. Learning combines practical work, group discussion, one-to-one tuition and self-directed projects. Teaching is adapted to individual experience and creative aims, allowing beginners to establish core techniques while more experienced participants refine personal work. There is no formal assessment, but learners receive ongoing verbal feedback and opportunities to discuss their work.
