Sculpture from London life

A beginner-level sculpture course exploring London life through drawing, found materials, model-making and guided group critique.
About this course
The course develops sculptural ideas from responses to London life, using mind maps, drawing, journaling and collected items to move from two-dimensional concepts into three-dimensional work. Participants make impromptu sculptures and maquettes while experimenting with wire, plaster, mesh, fabric, yarn, collage and other materials. Teaching combines visual step-by-step presentations, tutor demonstrations, practical tasks and group critiques. Discussions examine form, tension, space, material associations and London's historical identity and possible future, with peer feedback used to develop ideas.
