Sewing essentials: learn to sew a t-shirt

About this course

Participants make a T-shirt while learning to handle stretch jersey with control and accuracy. Guided studio sessions cover garment assembly, including necklines, seams, hems and taped shoulders, alongside suitable stitch types for stretch materials. Teaching combines demonstrations, guided exercises, practical making and one-to-one feedback. Learners can work with a domestic sewing machine or an overlocker, and will address common problems that arise when sewing stretch fabrics.
