Silk Painting for Handkerchiefs, Scarves and Cushions – Summer School

About this course

The workshop introduces silk painting as a process using resist and dye, with participants testing dye application methods and working with paints suitable for silk. After experimenting on samples, they develop a design for their own piece and learn finishing techniques suited to different projects, including handkerchiefs, scarves and cushions. Teaching combines theory with guided practical work, allowing participants to explore the process from initial experiments through to a completed silk painting.
