About this course
The course introduces beginners to core jewellery-making techniques including piercing, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, forming, soldering and polishing. Demonstrations and handouts are followed by individual practice, with the tutor working with the group and providing one-to-one guidance. Learners with previous experience can develop existing skills, explore new techniques and work on individual jewellery projects.

The course is designed for learners at all levels. Beginners are introduced to foundational jewellery-making techniques, while those with previous experience can extend their skills, learn new techniques and work on individual projects. Participation includes tutor-led group teaching alongside individual practice and guidance.

Before you go
- All tools and equipment needed for jewellery making are supplied.
- Materials for the first session are provided. Learners must supply their own metal and sundries, such as saw blades, for later sessions.
- The tutor will advise during the first session on the materials and sundries needed and where to obtain them.
- A sketchbook is encouraged for notes, handouts, images and designs.
- Closed shoes must be worn for health and safety reasons.
