About this course
The course introduces core jewellery-making techniques including piercing, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, forming, soldering and polishing. Learning is structured around tutor demonstrations, handouts and individual practice, with guidance provided both to the group and to individual learners. Learners with previous experience can use individual projects to extend their existing knowledge and skills while exploring new techniques.

Before you go
- All tools and equipment needed for jewellery making are supplied.
- Materials for the first session are provided; learners need to supply their own metal and sundries such as saw blades for later sessions.
- The tutor will advise during the first session on what materials and sundries are needed and where to obtain them.
- A sketchbook is encouraged for notes, handouts, images and designs.
- Closed shoes must be worn for health and safety reasons.
