About this course
The course introduces fundamental jewellery-making techniques including piercing, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, forming, soldering and polishing. Teaching combines tutor demonstrations, written handouts and individual practice, with guidance provided both to the group and to individual learners. Learners with existing experience can use individual projects to extend their knowledge, develop established skills and explore new techniques.

Before you go
- All tools and equipment needed for jewellery making are supplied.
- Materials for the first session are provided; learners must supply their own metal and sundries such as saw blades for later sessions.
- A sketchbook is encouraged for notes, handouts, images and designs.
- Closed shoes must be worn for all sessions.
