About this course

Beginners are introduced to jewellery design and construction through staged demonstrations covering sawing, drilling, soldering, filing, polishing, texturing and shaping metal. The course combines visual explanations, handouts, group discussion and practical work, with individual guidance on suitable techniques for each design. Learners with more experience can develop their own projects with one-to-one technical advice and access to workshop facilities. Progress is considered through questions, discussions, practical work and an assessment record, with handouts and online tutorials supporting study between sessions.

What you'll learn
