Silver Ring Making Workshop

About this course

Participants make a simple sterling silver ring while learning core jewellery-making techniques. The process includes sizing and shaping the band, cutting and joining silver with a piercing saw, soldering with a blow torch, and using a hammer and mandrel to refine its form. The workshop is taught step by step, with guidance through filing, polishing and finishing. It takes place in a studio environment and results in a completed handmade ring.

The workshop is designed for complete beginners, as no previous experience is needed. The beginner level indicates an introduction to fundamental ring-making techniques, with instruction provided throughout. It is suitable for participants aged 16 and over.
