About this course
Sessions combine vocal warm-ups, basic breathing and posture work with learning songs by ear. Participants explore varied tempos, rhythms and musical styles through group singing, including African harmony songs and music from the West Indies. The course also introduces simple harmonies and layered vocal parts, with optional opportunities for solo singing and improvisation. Learning is shared through listening, discussion and group exercises, and the songs developed during the course contribute to an end-of-year group performance.
