About this course
The course develops basic vocal technique through gentle physical and vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises and work on how the voice functions. Sessions also introduce music theory to help participants make sense of sheet music, alongside a varied repertoire. Teaching combines group singing with piano accompaniment. Participants may sing the same part or work in harmony with the tutor, with occasional opportunities to sing individually. Regular practice of class material and a warm-up routine can support work between sessions.
