About this course
Sessions combine vocal warm-ups with exercises focused on breathing, articulation, intonation, rhythm, tone, posture and vocal flexibility. Learners apply these techniques to repertoire spanning pop, jazz, folk, rock, gospel, musical theatre, classical and other styles. Most singing takes place in the group, including ensemble work and harmonies, with occasional opportunities to sing individually. The course also introduces aspects of music history and encourages learners to listen to a wider range of repertoire.
