About this course

Participants examine how composition, lighting and camera controls affect smartphone photographs. Topics include framing techniques such as the rule of thirds and leading lines, natural and indoor light, exposure settings, focus modes, white balance, depth of field and portrait mode. Tutor guidance, real-world examples and individual tasks are used to structure the learning. The course also includes practical activities and a personal learning plan, giving participants opportunities to apply the techniques during the course.
